Women’s Month Profile: Ntandoyenkosi Abigail Ntshangase

” I completed my metric in 2003 at Allendale secondary school in Witbank, I then studied at (TUT) in Pretoria, I was studying Public supervisory management, that was the year 2004, I couldn’t finish up my Diploma as my mother was the only person who was paying for my fees, so she lost her job then I was forced to come back home in Middelburg (Mpumalanga).

I then decided to go for Engineering studies because that was my second option, I completed my N3 certificate in Nkangala FET college, then the year 2009 I started my apprenticeship at Megacube mining, I was doing my training at Colliery Training College  (CTC), in the year 2011 September I wrote my Trade test as a Diesel Mechanic, I worked at Megacube mining as Qualified Diesel Mech for few months then, unfortunately, Megacube closed down early in the year 2012, In 2013 I was lucky to get a job at Colliery Training College as a Junior Training assistant, I worked for a year as it was a fixed-term contract, in the year  2015 I worked for Sehwag Exploration Drilling as a Diesel Mechanic, I worked for 2years then I applied for a permanent position at CTC (Diesel Mechanic Training officer), that was 2017 early till this very day.”
