Assistant Student Residence Supervisor

Internal / External Vacancy

CTC has a permanent position available in the Student Residence Department and invites suitably qualified individuals to apply.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with an NQF Level 4 Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality, student accommodation, or facility supervision (advantageous)
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements and municipal by-laws
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities

• Support the daily operational management of student residence facilities
• Ensure a safe, clean and well-maintained living environment
• Monitor room allocations and maintain accommodation records
• Oversee stock control of residence supplies
• Supervise cleaning personnel and ensure housekeeping standards
• Coordinate meal arrangements and maintenance requests
• Support enforcement of residence rules and student code of conduct
• Assist with student welfare matters and wellness initiatives
• Ensure compliance with municipal by-laws, health and safety standards and policies
• Record incidents and assist with emergency procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation and support audits
• Provide on-site support including weekends, public holidays and standby duties when required

Electrical Supervisor / Quality Assurer

CTC has a permanent position available in the Electrical Department and invites suitably qualified candidates to apply.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Artisan in an Electrical or related Electrical trade
• Accredited Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator
• OD-ETDP Level 4 Qualification (Compulsory)
• Management Certificate (Recommended)
• Minimum 3 years post-trade experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising or managing a training section
• Experience coordinating Trade Tests and EISA assessments (advantageous)
• Experience with SETA, QCTO and NAMB compliance processes
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational delivery of Electrical technical training programmes
• Manage quality assurance, assessments, moderation and compliance processes
• Ensure training delivery aligns with accredited curricula and regulatory standards
• Coordinate Trade Tests and External Integrated Summative Assessments (EISA)
• Conduct internal audits and maintain audit readiness
• Analyse learner performance and implement corrective improvement plans
• Supervise and support Training Officers to ensure instructional quality
• Implement performance management processes and provide structured feedback
• Monitor learner documentation, portfolios of evidence and attendance
• Ensure workshops, training equipment and facilities comply with safety standards
• Support departmental budget monitoring and procurement alignment
• Represent the Training Centre in internal and external forums when required
• Promote operational efficiency and continuous improvement

CTC has two permanent positions available in the Mechanical Department and invites suitably qualified individuals to apply.

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Artisan in Boilermaking, Diesel Mechanic or relevant Mechanical trade
• Accredited Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator
• OD-ETDP Level 4 Qualification (Compulsory)
• Management Certificate (Recommended)
• Minimum 3 years post-trade experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising or managing a training section
• Experience coordinating Trade Tests and EISA assessments (advantageous)
• Experience with SETA, QCTO and NAMB compliance processes
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability
